Financial Times « Some of life’s conundrums will probably only ever be thoroughly mulled over by the serious couch potato. Especially now, with the arrival of the I-chair. Ordinary chairs merely wait passively, happy to be used and abused, but it requires a special genius to take a normal audio signal convert it through something called a 150-watt tactile transducer into a vibration and pass that into the bottem of an otherwise conventional-looking chair. The theory, i suppose, is that couch potatoes want to assuage their chair-bound guilt by recreating the best bits of going out. Evidently, this involves getting a knee-trembler in the comfort of your own room, although the back of your knees are pounded by nothing more sordid than sound waves . (however with its fur suede micro-fibre cover it’s designed to sponge clean in seconds) » (May 2005)
